       Clean wood waste recycling is becoming a very large part of the construction scene in the Rio Grande Valley, especially with regards to LEED-inspired projects. We at "Wood You Recycle!" can help your firm adhere to LEED construction directives and common-sense recycling principles. At "Wood You Recycle!" we accept clean wood waste from construction sites, business, industry, government and private parties. This service is provided at a nominal fee in comparison to landfill charges. Miscellaneous pallets, crates, cut-offs, blocks, dimensional lumber and other clean wood waste are all acceptable.

       We take your clean wood waste, grind it up and manufacture wood heating pellets, which will be burned in wood pellet stoves.   This provides a clean, environmentally friendly heating source for homes all across New Mexico. To that end, it is vital that the material delivered to our site be clean.   Wood waste that contains dirt, chemicals, paint, oil or garbage cannot be made into wood pellets.

       So, how much can it save you?   A 40 yard container filled with loose wood blocks will be our representative sample for explanation purposes.   The average weight of loose loaded pine blocks is about 14 lbs. per cubic foot. There are 1080 cubic feet in a 40 yard container. Fully loaded, it would weigh slightly more than 7.5 tons. The Albuquerque landfill charges you $29.50 per ton or $221.25 to dump this entire 7.5 ton load.   Wood You Recycle! charges $.10 per cubic foot – that is right, 10 cents per cubic foot. Thus, we estimate that the same 7.5 ton load will cost you 1080 c.f. X $.10 or only $108.00  if you bring it to Wood You Recycle! for processing.
